Make an heirloom and join the fun in our private Facebook group! Muslin is back in stock!
Join the hundreds (if not thousands) of quilters worldwide making this incredible quilt for their very own! I fell in love when I saw this antique quilt and knew I had to make it. It grew to become an international club with people around the world making the quilt.
It is a super scrappy quilt using loads of shirtings and dark historic reproduction prints, and an aged muslin that is the perfect fabric to replicate the vintage patina in the antique quilt. It will use up tons of your scraps!! You can make lots of blocks using a strip piecing method which is described in detail in the pattern directions. Or, you can choose to make some individual blocks, fussy cutting fabrics to show off cute prints. There are lots of ideas in the pattern with full modern rotary cutting and piecing instructions.
The template set is optional but extremely helpful. It has two templates: One if for squaring up your Circa Nine Patch block and the other is a great template for fussy cutting the center and corner square fabrics. Full color instructions are included with the template set.
You can also opt to order the very same aged muslin fabric I used in my quilt. It is THE perfect fabric to replicate the aged patina of the original antique quilt, and it shows off the quilting beautifully!
Make your choice of Circa 1880 items by clicking the drop-down arrow where it says "Selection" above. You can order the pattern, templates and aged muslin in whatever combination you'd like.
Included in any Circa 1880 pattern order is an invitation to join my private Facebook group. We have world-wide participants who show off their blocks and quilt progress, and share hints and tips for block and quilt construction. You can also ask if anyone wants to trade blocks or fabric with you (like I did) to make your quilt the scrappiest ever!
Join the Circa 1880 Nine Patch club and make a stunning heirloom that will be loved for years to come!
