Letters From Grace

Letters From Graceis a lovely, simple quilt with only one really special star block.  The block is called Black Beauty, and I love how different it is and fun to piece.  The corners of the block also create a secondary pattern, which always adds a little surprise and more interest to a quilt.  It was the perfect block to use with my Tall Grass fabric collection for Marcus Fabrics.

I played a bit with border designs and settled on this unique and simple double border using the soft light green print as the sashing.  It creates an interesting frame for the quilt that is not difficult at all to piece! 

The block size is 8 inches with the quilt measuring 62" x 75".  The pattern is Fat Quarter Friendly.
